I have had an account w/Cross Country for 3 yrs. This year, in July, I noticed that I had been billed for a late fee. Thinking it was just a systems error, the next month I sent a letter requesting that the late fee, and now an overlimit fee because the late fee put me over my balance, be removed. No answer was received. Each month along w/my check I scratched out what Cross Country perceived as my balance and wrote a letter disputing the fees.
To make a long story short, I just got off of the phone w/Cross Country and was told by a supervisor that a late fee was added to my balance because a check was sent for $34 instead of $35; therefore, $181.00 worth of late fees & overlimit fees have been added to my balance.
So because my check was $1.00 short I have been penalized. She states that since I have never been late in the 3 yrs. She would remove 1 late fee, but couldn't remove the overlimit fees.
Please help my resolve this. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
