GE Money shuffeled my payment around, posted it to my account 1 day after due date, changing my account to have interest

GE Money set me up with a credit account when i purchased items thru Car Toys. They offered me no interest for a year. My payment was set up for the end of each month. After i made the first payment my troubles with them started.

I usually sent the payment out around the 20th of each month. Within the first6 months they clamed i had made3 late payments. All payment were over the required amont by around 200$. I wanted to pay them off before interest was accured. When i contacted customer servicethey told me that they had recieved my payment and entered it on the day they recieved it. This is where i have questions if my payment were entered on the day they recieved why does it take 10 days to send mail from oregon to florida.

It is my opinion that they shuffeled my payment around and only posted after the do date so that they could charge me with interest after the third late payment. They are now charging me 26.99% interest and they back charded my account to the begining ballance of my acount. Taking one 500 dollar payment to cover back interest alone.

Since the time they started charging my account interest i have sent my payment on the same days of the month as before but now they are applyed to my account within 5 to 7 day from my sending date. I have not had a late payment since but i have paided over 600 in Interest.

GE Money is running the biggest consumer fraud scam I have ever seen. They offer no interest loans just so they can get you to use them and once you do they find ways to charge interest to the account. There customer service personal are Rude and Do Not Care about consumer issues.

The biggest thing i don't understand is that when i was in college i took a class in Business Law.in this class I learned that a business that uses the U.S. Postal service to send bills except payment the minute the postal service accepts the letter containing the payment. If this is true how can a payment be late if the postal service takes less then a day to except mail sent thru them?
