My Husband contacted Moneytree to find a Mortgage for a home and my husband set up the application fee to be taken out of our bank account on a particular day AND after they send him the paperwork for him to sign and send back before they took anything out. Well they took it out before the date and not even sending the paperwork for my husband to sign. They attempted several times, causing overdrafts out the ying yang intill we closed the account. Unaware that we needed to close the debit card too. They finally took the 300 dollars. Which caused more things to go bouncy bouncy! During all this my husband called the guy several times with no return phone calls or nothing.
We of course disputed it with our bank and finally got the money put back. Well, we thought that was the end of it. NOPE! They filed with the courts in Woodstock Georgia and accused my husband of Bad Check Fraud. We were in total shock... My husband now has to be in court on Dec 9th to plea not innocent. Plus the bank was shocked too because they said that in order for the monies to have been put back in our account it was investigated and the money was gotten back from the original company.
They never sent the paperwork for my husband to sign like arranged and first tried taking the money earlier than planned and caused major problems and continued this intill we closed our account and opened up another. Uninformed to close the debit card that was used they got the money. They never returned any of the phone calls we left. Moneytree is no good!!! Stay away
