Bank of America associates at the Plantation Branch are so rude and incompetant. Last time I went in to close my Deposit Box which I had for 9 years, they could not find my paper work and asked me multiple times if I had closed the box. I had paid for the box continuously for the past 9 years, but did not go to visit the box for 3-4 years due to the location being to far for my current work and home. I opened a new box at a branch that is closer to home in November and close down the old box on 12/04.

After wiaiting for more than 1 hour, the associate informed me that she could not find any of my paper work (neither the orginal paper that I had the box opened in nor the index card they usually asked you to fill in everytime you visit the box). The associate went 6to talk to the manager and 10 minutes later returned to tell me to fill-in again a blank form, as if I am opening the box, then sign to close that box. All the keys were returned.

Three days ago I recieved a notice in the mail that my old deposit box is up for renewal and the fee will be deducted from my account. I called up the main customer service line and was informed that the Plantation Brach has not closed my box. I was told I had to talk to the branch. The brach was too busy to talk to me but took down my number and promised to call me back. More than 30 hours later, I am still waiting for that call.

I called the Bank and nobody picked up the phone, and the phone was diverted to the main line. The main line tried to hook me back up to the branch, but the call was pciked up (with no greeting) and hung up.

I called back to complain again and got hooked to the vooicemail of the Regional manager.By this time, it was already passed the working hour. I left the voicemail and my number. Let see if anybody will ever return my call.

I was told to go in to the branch. Sure I can probably do that, but at what expense? Last time it costed me 2 hours away from my work, which I am lucky to still have. Worse yet, after 2 hours, the stupid at the bank still did not close my deposit box!!!

Next time I go in I probably will ned to close my account. After 9 years with them, it's probably time to say goodbye.
