The Guardian Group They required me to send them a cashier's check for $1595.00 to process my application

In March of I was referred to a woman who worked for Allstate Lenders who also did work for Guardian Group. She sent me all of the forms that I needed to fill out and made sure that I sent in a copy of my bank statements, pay stubs, driver's license, social security card and these in particular had to be blown up so that it could be clearly read. Now I'm concerned that my ID has been stolen as well. I was also required to send in a cashier's check for $1595.00. They weren't supposed to cash the check unless I had been approved. They cashed it within a day or two of receiving it.

I tried to call and left several messages until their phone would no longer work. I then send them certified letters to two different addresses (especially the address where I sent my application) and both letters came back as "No such address" and "Moved left no Forwarding Address". I finally reported them to the Attorney Generals office here in Salem Oregon. I am told they Guardian Group has been informed to refund all of their clients money. I have yet to see my refund.

I came very close to losing my home but thankfully to my mortgage lender, they helped me with a legitimate program through the "Making Homes affordable program"

If anyone has had luck reaching the Guardian Group and receiving their refund, please post it.
