Fairwinds Credit Union
Purposely overdraft account

I made a deposit at my local banks ATM at Fairwinds Credit Union on Saturday 07/17 before 12 pm. It was a cash deposit of $10 to make sure I was able to cover the amounts I knew was already posted to my account by Seaworld ($75 and change and Redbox movie amount 2.04). I only needed $78 to cover everything. I had a balance of $155 in my checking account, I needed only $70, but the ATM only spit out $20's. That's why I had to deposit $10 into the account which would have left a balance of $85 instead of $75. I knew if I had only $75 in the account my bank would not do the right thing and let the smaller amount through first that way I would have only one overdraft of $34 instead of $68! They always hold my large amount to see if I would make smaller purchases to cause more overdrafts (they also hold my direct deposit from child support to the point I dont actually know when it will be deposit after it is already released from the Florida disbursment Unit) Anyway, I hate to say I have known of their practice for a long time and thought they where still protecting me by paying my bill when I thought I was the one who miscaculated an amount and I would get confused when I talk to them on the phone. They could never explain to me why I dont get the same viewing of my REAL available balance online and why can't my cash deposit be posted to my account when they know its there and available to cover any possible overdraft that might happen. They claim that, thats not the ORDER in which they received my deposit this weekend. That means, this past Monday, they, of course, allowed the $75 amount then the $2.04 go throw so I am in the hole by $59 and some change! They did this on purpose and pretended like they couldn't do nothing about it. I'm not a fool and I know they do have control on how they release funds and make payments. I know I'm not perfect with my account either, btu how is a person suppose to keep up with their money if the bank that suppose to protect it is always trying to find ways to take not some of it, but all of it from you!
