Received a call at work stating that my boss requested a informations regarding Gold and Precious Metal investments. I stated that the information was erroneous after discussing with my boss. Received a call several days later stating the same; my boss had requested information. I asked the representative to explain why they would lie to a potential customer, as no one requested the information. She stated that she didn't know, at which point I asked for a supervisor. When the supervisor picked up the line I asked him if it was standard practice to lie to potential customers, and then explained the situation regarding my boss not requesting information. The supervisor then identified themselves as Sean McCabe, owner and operator of Capital Metals Corp. He proceeded told me how they came by their information through purchasing leads from a secondary company.
