For the past year or moreI have been recieveing solicitation calls for precious metal investments and on more than one occasion I have recieved them from Capital Metals Corporation.in the beginning I was polite and told them, i was not in a position to invest only to have the caller become insistent on me investing to the point whereI had to hang up on them. As time moved on I politely asked to be removed from their calling list. Forn whatever reason they completely ignored this request. After some research I discovered that you can actually file a complaint with the FCC if a firm does not remove you from their calling list when you request it. It involves contacting the firms compliance officer.
TodayI recieved another call from Capital Metals Corporation. After taking down the name of the caller, the phone number, and the name of the compliance officer I inquired as to why they were still calling me after i had repeatedly asked to be removed from their calling list for the last 9 months. The caller said this was the first time the firm had called me since they had just started the company 2 weeks ago. Upon researching the firm online I found out they have been in business at least 1 year, if not more.
It is obvious from this call, and the many I have had prior to this, Capital Metals Corporation is probably some boiler room operation instead of a legitimate brokerage firm. Any firm who cannot deliver on a simple request like removing someone from their call list is going to have some serious issues in the future. NowI move on to the FCC
