Chicago Title Insurance company is a subsidiary of Fidelity National Title Insurance. Their business practices caused me to overpay in several real-estate transactions. If you are dealing with a title company make sure they are not underwritten by a Fidelity Company! Their agents pay kickbacks and enter into sham business arrangements with real-estate professionals. This will artificially and in most cases illegally causes you to pay higher premiums and bogus fees!!! Even when you have a legitimate claim, they will litigate it to death until you have nothing left and give up. The company is run and the stock is mostly owned by attorneys. How else could they profit through the biggest real-estate bust in history? Their agents are "encouraged" into this type of behavior because the company knows it will be them left holding the bag. Run from any commercial or residential transaction involving any of the Fidelity companies!!!
