With contract of guaranteed funding from mairfair i sent $31,895.00 to escrow account held by D. Andrew Marshall and associates a law firm in charge of escrow account. A letter was sent to me stating there was a guaranteed committment on funding loan, I in turn was asked to send letter stating I had receive this information which i did. At this point marshall and associates released escrow to mayfair.
Mayfair also has language in there committment letter that states escrow will be returned if funding is not acheived. They had 30 days to fund after receiving escrow funds that was 10/31/09. They refuse to return escrow and I have been told they cannot fund loan as agreed.
This all seems like a scheme to extort money from people who beleive there are firms trying to do the right kind of business. I know of one other company that mayfair did the same way.
