Recently I too have had numerous problems with FCNB. Payments posting late, statements not being received. This company is impossible to reach. I did come across and this is a valid number for those of you who have recent payments post late resulting in late fees and or over the limit fees being added to your account.
Today I called 1-866-475-1434, regarding my FCNB VISA I was able to speak with a live person without having to go through an automated system. I was able to get a late fee which resulted in an over the limit fee removed, and a second over the limit fee removed as well... A credit of $105. I was told there was a delay in the posting of payments. They did this without me having to jump through hoops!
I also have a Newport News card, that is paid to FCNB as well, I was able to get that late fee removed as well by calling Speigle 1-800-474-5555. They were helpful, the number to call regarding Newport News problems is... 1-516-576-8706. They were also very helpful, stating delay in payment postings.
I personally had not had any problems prior to March, when accounts began to be closed.
FCNB needs to be held accountable for these bogus fees and inability to forward reliable information to those of us who are being taken to the cleaners by them. I have no problem paying what I owe, but I refuse to be a victim of questionable billing practices!
