I too can sympathize with outrageous late fees that of course pushed you over the credit limit only to make what they told you would be enough to satisify your account. Even if you made your payment by phone they still found a way to make it late and charge you again only repeating this stupid cycles of fees. However, I am really upset because my most recent statement showed a APR of 35.5% even though my payments have been on time even by their standards for the past 6 months.
I called the BBB of Oregon to complain only to be told that FCNB had closed its center in Oregon and had relocated to Georgia. The FCNB for Speigel had relocated to Long Island. They left no forwarding phone number. I'm sure now that this months payment will get to this new location late and they will find a way to hit me again for late fees. Does anyone know of any class action suits or who I could contact outside of FCNB to register a complaint?
