Someone with an accent called me on Friday right at 5pm. He threatened, that someone would be coming to my job to pick me up and take me to the courthouse on Monday where I would be charged with 3 different federal charges. He said that I would never be able to open another bank account for the rest of my life. He said that I had received a payday loan and failed to pay it back. However, he could NOT give me the exact company I supposedly received the money from and could NOT send me any paperwork as proof BEFORE I paid them. I would have to wait until after I paid to receive the paperwork in the mail within 2-3 business days. He couldn't give me the amount of the original loan either. I must admit that he had me a bit afraid at first but after processing all that he was saying, I told him I was more intelligent than to fall for his scam and hung up!!! I can't believe people are doing this to other people especially during this crazy economic period.
