Beware!!! Triad Financial is out to get you!
Took a loan out with them several years ago. Carefully read all loan documentation and knew I was paying for a higher interest rate. They were very helpful and nice when they were loaning the money.
Big Change! Due to downturn in economy and loss of work started receiving harrassing phone calls from them. 10-20 a day. Very Aggressive and Rude collection people. To the point of THREATENING!!! Told the lady I had sent them two payments to their Palatine, IL address. Tried to FORCE me to give her another check over the phone and supply her with all my banking information. Not sure what they did with it, but two days later a repo compnay shows up at 1 am to get my vehicle. Told the guy I sent the check and I would be happy to stop it and use my debit card to them in the am. At least he was nice.
Called Triad in the morning, lady was Horrible. Asked her to speak to a supervisor, he was decent took my two payments and was nice when asking when I could get the last one caught up. Made arrangements with him, and thought it was done.
Next day, threatening phone calls again. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was left on hold for over 10 minutes, no one came on. Called and asked for account information and was treated rudely and didn't want to give me a pay off amount.
BECAUSE -SHOCKER my pay off is $5,000 dollars higher then it should be. They have added over $5,000 in charges on my account. Checked my loan documents and there is nothing in them about a $90 late charge (more than my mortgage late charge) and they charged me a $1,000 RE-INSTATEMENT fee. Neither of these charges are in my loans docs. Was in a business bankruptcy and during those 3 years, the trustee paid the loan monthly, they charged me $90 a month for every month it was in the trustee's schedule. I am in bankruptcy protection and they are charging me $3,240 extra!!!
Called to request paperwork and loan history and was refused!!! When told the women that I didn't pay $90 late charge on a $250,000 home loan, she informed me that if I had a $250,000 home I should be able to pay my car payment. Asked again to speak to a supervisor that I was going to file a complaint, she hung up on me.
Filing a complaint with the BBB, and looking for others. If they are doing it to me, there are plenty of others getting the same fraudulent treatment!!!
