I was contacted twice by this company, the first time I was contacted I blew them off however the second time I was contacted I decided to listen and weighing my situation I decided that everything sounded legitemate so I agreed to getting a card from them. My bank account was charged $221.95 and about four weeks later I noticed that I had not yet recieved a card in the mail. So began my journey as most of the victims before me. I did go to my bank and start the process of getting my money back, I found out that so far the money is refundable and will be credited back to my account but this is not the last word. It could be that my bank may not be able to get the money refunded, I also put a stop payment on Global Financial to prevent them from getting to any more of my hard earned cash. I will update this case when the green is back home in my bank until then I have my fingers crossed.
I will be researching companies that contact me via telephone in the future, a little time on the net saves allot of frustration and heartache in the end. Also someone should start reporting these companies to FDIC insured banks to let them know companies like Global Financial are ripping consumers off, sort of like a hit list to check before they authorize money to be taken from thier customers accounts. < sounds like something the BBB should be doing?
