I asked for information from Bank of America on a line of credit to cover home construction startup costs and insisted that they not run an application or check until I had more information.
After several assurances from Lalonni, the manager, that her questions about my income and other personal information were not for a credit application or check, she said they did not offer such a line of credit I needed at my income level or for construction startup costs.
She is a liar! Two days ago I got a letter of denial from a credit reporting agency for my supposed credit application. She did all this at her computer screen without my authorization!
All I wanted was some specific details about what they offer and now my credit score has been lowered. I have contacted the bank and they say that I shouldn't worry about it and there is nothing they can do now. I haven't even applied for the construction financing yet from the mortgage company and they are ruining my chances at getting financing. I would love to sue them if I am financed at a higher rate because of this or worse yet, denied financng.
Un-ethical lying dirt bags!
