I received a letter from Bank of America telling me that I had been pre-approved for a credit card and when I applied they turned around and rejected my application.
Within a week I get a call telling me I had been approved for a Bank of America's visa credit card at a higher rate of interest. I was just too irritated to take down the callers details. To rub it all in, I get another letter rom Bank of America telling me I have been pre-approved for a credit card from them.
What irks me is the misuse of the word pre-approved, and it just added another entry into my credit history and last but not the least, the insult of rejection.
I'm not sure where to file a complaint and if I can sue them.
