I received a call from portfolio recovery in regards to a credit card that I did owe and after the rep went over the payment options I offered to settle the account for less than half of what was owed... They accepted and cleared the debt. DO NOT set up payments with these people you will be charged fees and collection costs added to your payments... Do what I did and settle for less than owed if you know you indeed owe the debt...
