I have been trying to lease some aesthetic equipment so that we could extend and enhanc or services. I began nquiring in Feb. 2009.
I ran across a few leasing companies I found on the internet.
Threee companies gave me preliminary approvals and asked me to fax signed copies of documents and ID to them. All this seemed basic formality. I have done office equipment lease before. Two of theses companies I sent signed contracts and allowed them to do credit check to complete apporval. AAfter I signed the contract I had changed my mind due to the high interest rate. I decided to keep looking further. They simple tore up the cotract and asked me to keep them on record if I change my mind. Now I ran across this 3rd leasing company called Benchmark who seemed to have everything I wanted to here. Easy approval and asked for pertinent documents that you would expect them to ask for. Afterwards they said I qualified based on the inormation I sent them. I authorized them to do a credit check to substantiate this approval. They said yes it has been approved. Then I asked them to contact my vendor where I will be getting the equipment from. They said they contacted them and everything was ready to go. Then they asked me to send overnight to them a check for the amount $2,504.36, a signed original copy of the contract, and copy of ID. I told them not until I here official word when I will get my equipment and what further information I will need to complete this lease. Then they sent me more information regarding financials etc. No mention of building inspection. Then I complete everything requested from me and I sent them a faxed copy of the paper works that will be mailed to them. They said once I was approved then I need to send the originals and the check. This seemed fine. On the 20 of May my bank tellsme an ACH was debited from my account from this company. I tried to call them but no answer for 3 days. Finally I get a hold of them and they say once we inspect your building then we will provide you the equipment.
I was very upset about this. Then I decided okay you can come and inspect my building but I do not want to do business with your company because you were not forthright about what I needed to complete this lease. Secondly, I do not have time for another delay after I meet this request. I have another leasing company with a "A" rating with BBB and I want to get my equipment from them now. I found out that Benchmark has a "F" rating and pending lawsuits, which now made me more skeptical. My building has office space for two treatment rooms where we will put the aesthetic equipemnt for Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation. I have RN BSN license, I have comprehensive business insurance and equipment insurance.in Texas, this is all that is required. My company has more than enough medical staffing at our disposal because we are a medical staffing company. We are just trying to extend our services. Nevertheless, I told him this and he Davin was angry and began telling a medical professional how to run their business. Now I just want my money back and to move forward withanother leasing company that is honest.
Action taken so far:
1. I emailed the Texas Attorney General
2. I email the federal governement whom I am an active member with the

4. I filed an official unauthorized AC debit with my bank.
5. I am filling an official complaint with NFIC.
6. Now I have posted this complaint with "Rippoff Report to warn consumers and business of this rippoff.
