I am a former HAPPY and WELL SATISFIED Wamu Bank customer whose account has been jacked by the so-called "JP Morgan Chase Bank". That may be the way the company legitimatizes what it does, but I have seen more honest business practices on episodes of The Sopranos! At least you know who you are dealing with in that case!
I have NEVER missed a payment or even been late... And had my APR increased (OVER DOUBLE!!!) and when I called in to get information, I was spoken to with such distain and disrespect that I had to pray the whole time to keep my temper under check... And when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told point blank that if didn't like it I could close my account! I was rendered speechless!
When I asked about the Stimulus funds the bank received to assist it I was told that "We did not ask for the money, but it was offered so we took it and we can do whatever we want with it"!!! Wha??? So Chase took the funds given in good faith to offset the problems caused by the economic crisis and still doubled zillions of customers rates? And now they are raising them again???
I would find it quite interesting to see the exact breakdown of the demographics of the customers that Chase "Bank" is so callously throwing on the trash heap... And if their customer service was this horrible and belligerent BEFORE they were allowed to raid poor Wamu. I'm sure some interested party would find some research into this whole situation quite worth their while.
For sure, Chase is trying to run Wamu customers off by raising our rates and talking to us like dogs. Trying to push buttons to get people to close their accounts before they can pay the balances off and screw up our credit scores... Which we can no longer access free of charge thanks to them. Well, they sucker punched me and then backstabbed me while I was down, but I'm no fool. I see what's up. And like many others, I will NEVER use that card again. Or EVER do business of any kind with Chase Bank or any affiliates of same from now till hell freezes over.
Two (Million) or whatever the count is can play this game. Maybe I will be forced to dump the account, but it will take more than their little cheap white-collar gangsta tatics to force me to close before I pay off. I wonder, just exactly what is the motivation behind this attempt to damage innocent people's credit? For sure, there is some plot afoot... Do these barracudas think that the American public is too stupid to see these schemes for what they are?
But, I bet in the long run, JP Morgan Chase will be the biggest loser. I, like many other Americans affected by this worldwide economic crisis will NOT forget the companies that used this time of trial for our country and its' citizens to make a quick, morally corrupted buck. Sure it's LEGAL... But is it right? And don't give me the profit motive... It's that greedy motivation that led to a lot of our present troubles.
Thank goodness our President and Legislators saw fit to put the brakes on these sharks, and all the rest like them!!! Chase Bank, two thumbs down and a side of shame on you!!!
And a big atta boy to the companies that have taken the high ground... They will get all my future business!!!
