I recently made a deposit on a Saturday at my local branch. I made a deposit of over $600; therefore, I was instructed that my first $100 would be available immediately and that the remainder would be available first thing on Tuesday. I had a check for my car insurance to also clear on Tuesday so I was trying to make sure the funds were there.
I called to check my account on Monday night right before midnight and then I called to check early Tuesday at 0530. My deposit had been made available. I took my son to school later that morning and made a second deposit of $500 at this time the check for my insurance had also cleared leaving me a balance of about $250 prior to my deposit (balance $750 after this deposit). The next day I check my account and I had been charged $225 for 6 NSF's they said I acquired because they want me to believe that my insurance check cleared before my deposit did on Tuesday.
I called the 800 number and they instructed me to phone the branch where I opened my account. No use. My online banking does not show my account ever being negative yet I am stuck with these charges and no one will lift these charges. I asked for a ledger showing where I went negative and have yet been given one by either the 800 number or the branch. I have banked with these people for over 8 years and have even paid off loans with them in the past.
This feels like bank robbery in reverse.
