I wrote a check to BOA for $214.00 to pay my car note. Before this was cashed I totaled my vehicle. So that I could use the money to pay for my insurance deductible I called BOA and asked them to stop payment on the check. They told me it would take 3 days for a regular stop payment to take effect. So I asked the rep what I could do to prevent my money from being taken out in the mean time and she told me Transfer it to my savings account. I tell the lady ok and we made the transfer. The next day the money wasn't transferred. I needed to us the money so I went into my checking and took some of the money from the account. $40.3 days from the day we transferred the money it transfers and all the transaction in between the day I called and the day the money was transferred I got 5 OD fees at $30 each! What was I suppose to do? The rep did not tell me that the money would not move instantly. It took 3 days to move the money. The sad thing is I am sitting here thinking man this sucks I don't think the rep moved the money. So I am spending money then BOA takes the full amount of the money and moves it over to the savings account and everything that got charged after the transfer was charged OD fees. I tried to Supervisors and they offered to waive the stop payment fee and that's all. Worst case Ill stop my direct deposit and cancel am I wrong?
