Bank of America charges hidden fees and won't help remove them

I am so frustrated with BOA. They have been charging me fees for a 'privacy assist' service. I never asked for it, I don't know what its for, and they are not helping me when it comes to removing the service and providing me a refund for the unwanted service.

This string of emails between BOA and me demonstrate their unwillingness to remove their fees and their inability to listen to the customer.

to whomever receives this message... Please carefully read my chain of emails back and forth to the customer service center.

I am getting very frustrated... I am not being listened to... The recommendations that customer service representatives keep making do not work as i don't own an at&t calling card. I have tried many times... And it doesn't work!

One last time... I am in australia... And need to call the service desk to cancel the privacy assist service that is being applied to my account. I cannot call with the at&t service in australia... I need a local number in the us to call. Please supply me with that number... Or instead of sending me another email telling me that boa values me as a customer... Just cancel the privacy assist service.

I am really looking forward to someone providing me a solution!!!

Hi Kristopher,

Thanks for your message. I am in Australia at the moment. Please do not provide me with the Telstra or Optus number to dial AT&T. I have already done this after receiving advice from the online BoA representative. I don't have an AT&T calling card so cannot use this service.

As per my original email, please provide me with a local number that I can dial from Australia.

Also, I just received an email from BoA explaining what the credit service is. I find it interesting that since I have inquired as to what this service is that I now start receiving information about it. I am still of the opinion that I don't know what this service is, I never asked for this service, and I don't need this service. As such, I want to be refunded for every service fee that I have been charged.

Many thanks.

Hi Ms. Nunez,

Thanks for your message and understanding of my situation.

I note that you have asked me to call your 1.800.432.1000 number to resolve this matter. Unfortunately I am living overseas at this moment and am unable to dial the 1.800 free dial number, as it is not available for international calls. Given this, there is no way to contact using this number. If you can provide a local number to call I will do so. This is the only way to contact your call centers.

Also, before you offer the number for AT&T's international calling service, we have already tried this and since we don't have an AT&T calling card, we cannot use this service either. I spent about 1 hour talking with an online service representative about this, and the conclusion was... This avenue does not work either.

So... Back to a way to resolve this. Either I can resolve this with you directly, or you can supply me with a local number to reach your call center.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
