Privacy Guard is an associated company of Bank of America. They have been charging my account USD 11.99 per month for the last year. I was not diligent enough to follow up on these charges until now.
I called Privacy Gaurd 877-488-0086 and spoke to a lady who claimed that I had signed up for this by returing a BOA offer for a free credit report. I recall doing this, but the form did not indicate that I would be signed up to charge my account USD 11.99 per month. They then tried to sell me all the benefits they provided. I insisted on cancelling and requested a full refund. They refused the full refund. I then spoke to Chris the supervisor who was aggressive and claim they would under no circumstances give me a refund.
Mailed Bank of America with the above and this was their response.

Called the number 1.800.432.1000 to file a dispute. They again gave me all the benefits and explain that I had signed up for the service when I activated by new debit card.in the maze of telephone activation system there apparently was an option which I had chosen which then enrolled me in the scheme.
This story is different that what Privacy Guard gave me. They almost refused to file a dispute and offered to call Privacy Guard to cancel my membership.
I refused and insisted it was my right to file the dispute. I can unfortunately only dispute the last 60 days transactions in terms of Federal regulation E. I went ahead with the dispute as I figured I would get a dispute number.
I was then told I would receive documentation of the dispute in the mail and I need to complete and return to then. They then notified me that they would reverse the last two months charges and if I did not return the correct documents they would reverse the credit.
We see how this pans out.
