I am the grandson of two people who were taken advantage of by NFG Financial. NFG Financial is a supposed financial group that gives loans out to those who carry poor credit or credit scores. Unfortunately, they do not give out any type of loan whatsoever. Here's how their trap unfolds:
1. You call them and they agree to transfer a loan worth up to $5,000 to your bank account.
2. They ask for a "small" down payment of $750 to insure their money.
3. You pay the down payment and the loan never arrives.
4. They constantly lie to cover their tracks and then gradually begin to ignore your phone calls.
I witnessed this scam occur and instead of sitting by idly, we took action. We were in touch with Mr. Hardy Meyers - Oregon's Attorney General and our own home state's (Ohio) Attorney General as well. After a brief investigation, it was revealed that NFG Financial does not exist in Portland, Oregon.instead, this is a scam ran by a few private individuals who order the money over an international border into Canada, and then attempt to scam more money out of those who still buy into the plot.
After I continually harrassed Mr. Kenneth Stewart and Mr. William Harper, they quit answering my calls. I left numerous messages, questioning their manhood and continuously reminding them that we named them specifically in reports filed with State Attorney General's offices. Just a couple of weeks ago, the number I had been calling had been "temporarily disabled". Mr. Harper, when I had him on the phone, called me a "smart ass" and told me to quit threatening him or he would sue. After answering him by replying that I would counter-sue him quicker than he could say lawsuit for the $750 he owed my grandparents, he quit answering completely.
These people operate something known as an "Advanced Fee Loan" scam, so please, do not fall prey to their trap.
