A foreigner called... With a Pakistani accent. He talked fast and told me I qualified for a Mastercard with a credit limit of $2500. And $500.00 in free groceries and $100.00 in free gas all for a fee of $221.95. I told them I could not afford the money yet he insisted and kept on talking. (I should have hung up).
My bank account was debited on the 18th of January. I called on the 24th of February to find out where this wonderful package was... I was on hold for 1 hour and 7 minutes... And was told it was mailed out on the 21st of February. On March 1st I called again, and was on hold for 47 minutes and then told the package was mailed out on the 28th of February. I called again today, the 7th of March and was on hold 56 minutes and was told it was sent out the 4th of March.
I told the woman I was not amused with the run around and I would be calling Monday if I did not get the credit card this weekend and that I wanted my money back immediately. The operator told me that was fine. I got home found the package and there is no credit card... My employer would have to deposit my paycheck into their account in order for me to have a credit card. And then only the limit of what ever my employer depostits. And forget about the $500.in groceries or $100.in gas.
And they gave my account number to a phone company that deducted 49.95 from my bank account for long distance services that I did not ask for. I called Freedom again this evening, was on hold for 32 minutes and when I informed the operator I wanted my money back immediately, I was told to have a nice day and she hung up on me.
I want my 221.95 back. The long distance company did refund me last week.
