My ex-husband died in May of this last year. He had a student loan that we assume he was paying off through this company. We're really not sure, because there had been no contact with my ex for over 15 years prior to his death.
They have been sending out letters and calling people that were his "references" on this loan. This has been going on for months. They have been harassing my mother, My brother-in-law, my brother-in-law mother, and myself. Both myself and another family member have argued with them about the harassment tactics they are using.
We have sent this company a copy and 2 certified copies of the death certificate.
The guy is dead, he cannot pay this loan, nor is anyone they are contacting liable for his debts. We were told at one point that they were not accepting his death. I
Today I received another letter from this company requesting another copy of the death certificate. I can not keep sending them copies. I don't have any extras left.
