I contacted Homeq Servicing after my mother passed away at the end of January. She had a home equity loan with them and had purchased insurance in the event of her death. I have been arguing with them ever since. It is bad enough to lose your mother, and they feel the need to make it worse. They told me I needed to send a certified copy of my mother's death certificate and a letter stating I am executor. There is no estate and there is no executor. I mailed the certified death certificate and low and behold I received a letter from them stating that they need a certified copy of the death certificate and papers for the executor of the Estate. I then emailed them stating the same things over again. I told them that they have the certified copy of the death certificate and there is no executor. They will not satisfy the loan. Why did my mother pay for this insurance all these years. I am so disgusted with this company. They should not be allowed to do business.
