Is not being able to pay for your bills a crime? I felt like a criminal when Mr. Castaneda from Curtis O Barnes accused me of not giving them my correct routing number so they could take out the payment for settlement. He said that I did it on purpose and began to tell me that I was going to be served with a lawsuit. I told him that I had the money in he account and that I did gie them the correct information, and he said that all he knew was that the bank returned the check and they were not able to cash in.
I explained that a Mrs. Fox looked up the routing number and that I did provide my correct information and that once he verified that I deserved an apology, HE SAID THAT HE WAS NOT GOING TO APOLOGIZE. I asked him if I could speak with his supervisor and he said that there was noone there and he was the manager. I was really angry at the way I was treated. I was transferred to a Mr. Martinez to verfiy that they were going to try and take out the money again and after that was over I asked to speak with a superior and was transferred to a Frank.
I explained what happened and how I was not apologized to and he said that Mr. Castaneda had nothing to apologize to me for. I asked him if thats how they did there business and he said yes that if I had paid my account on time I would not be in the situation I am in right now. So that makes me the bad guy. I lost my job and I spent months looking for another one and would not get hired. I decided to go to school and on top of my car payment and rent I have child care blls and diapers to pay for. But even all that is not an excuse for not making my payments.
I would really like to know if me not being able to pay for my bills makes me a bad person and allows people like the ones who work at Curtis O Barnes to treat us like criminals.
