Mas Financials - Division Of Mas & Aus, P.C. I'm glad I'm the suspicious type. I don't trust mail with no return address!

Just when I needed it most, I received a check for $4,655.00 from Mas & Aus, P.C.

The letter, which had MAS FINANCIALS, A division of Mas & Aus, P.C. As the letterhead, asked me to call to authorize & activate the check "... Which covers the 3.8% Government recommended Taxes..." on my winnings of $100,000 of..."unclaimed "price" money from Readers Digest, Publishers Clearing House..."

Everything rang an alarm in my head. Not only was there no return address on the envelope, but the addresses on the letter & check were almost the same. Numbers were off in the street #, suite #, etc. And the zip codes on the check and letter were different; 84101 on the check and 87675 on the letter.

I decided to check the Internet, but couldn't find any information, not even doing a reverse check on the phone # 416-825-5312. I did find the exact same description on the complaint website.

Someone in my office had the same exact experience a year ago. Her name was misspelled and when they said they would send a corrected check, she never got a call back or a new check.
