I wasn't aware of what they were trying to do to us until I happened to find this site by using the search engine with their name.
I admit, I was at fault for being late on my mortgage. We had a really bad financial period where I fell behind. I was contacted by mail by the "in house" lawyers... Moss, Codilis, etc... I was told to fill out a financial statement and we would be able to work out a payment plan to get back on track. I did that. All I kept recieving back were more letters.
I tried calling the guy listed on the letter since no one else seemed able to talk to me. I am now very familiar with his voicemail. I tell him when I will be home to talk and work on this. Well, he chooses to call at the times when I already told him I will not be home. This has been going on for 2 months.
I have tried sending in payments via mail and "Quick Collect", but they are sent back stating it is not enough to cover the default. Seems they really want my house.
I just recieved a summons tonite. I don't know what to do. I love my house, but I can't afford a lawyer. We're barely making ends meet now. Does anyone have any suggestions? I talked to the process server, who by the way was extremely nice, and she stated that this company has been serving summons left and right in this area and she thought it was awful strange. She is studying to be a investigator and was interested with what was going on. The other people were just as shocked about being served.
By the way, my mortgage is with OCWEN FSB, but the summons says, "Wells Fargo Bank Minnesota, National Association, As Trustee For Structured Asset Securities Corporation Amortizing Residential Collateral Trust Mortgage Pass-Through Certificates". I'm lost. Can someone please give me a heads up?
