Electronic Funding is more confusing than sending regular checks through the mail. You have to make two phone calls to find out if the check was deposited into your account acuratly.
According to the recording from Lansing that you have to call to find out if a child support check was sent our or not, told me that there were two checks deposited into my account the first part of December. My bank only received one check so I called Lori she told me that I had to do everything in writing and send it to her, so I wrote her a letter letting her know my of my problem.
I also asked for a History Report. She wrote me back saying that the check was deposited into my account and if I had any more questions I needed to take it up with my bank.
And she did not send a History Report like I had asked.
At this time I had already been in contact with my bank because of this check not being deposited like they said it was, cost me $152.19 and my checking account was in jepordy of being closed. Now this $64.75 child support check had cost my son almost $200.00. Because of course they automatically send your child support to your account so my son lost three child support checks because of this mishap.
Now I have written Lori another letter letting her know what my bank statement said and what the recording from Lasing told me, and I am waiting on a reply from her and I am also waiting on the History Report that I asked for over a month ago, which I need to figure out what the hell is going on. So the Friend of the Court as far as I am concerned is not doing there job very acuratlly.
The FOC also told me that I shouldn't depend on this money for my son, if this be the case than I want someone from the Friend of the Court to take $500.00 a month out of their pocket and pay it to me for my sons child support and let them wonder how the hell to figure out how to cover a $500.00 lost each month.
And another question is if the person with legal custody can't and isn't supposed to rely on this money to raise their child, than why was FOC set up for in the first place. If the person paying the support gets behind than they go to jail. What about the FOC holding money that belongs to the child, what happends with this.
Nothing the person raising the child gets screwed.
And during this time they didn't send a child support check at all. At the time of the first letter that I wrote the FOC owed my son $325.75. Plus it cost me $152.19 who is going to make up this lost. OH but it doesn't have anything to do with the FOC right? WRONG!!!
During this time I know and can prove that the money came from the fathers check and was waiting at the FOC to do their paper work. How come it takes over three weeks to do this? If they are that far behind than they should hire another person for that office.
I want to know how I am supposed to make up a $500.00 lost. That is over one months worth of child support. And another question how the hell can a check get lost when they are doing elecronic funding???
I would like some answers to my questions.
