Allied Interstate harrassed me by phone to make collections on a defaulted student loan. They said they were collecting for Salle Mae. They were non sympathetic to my mental, emotional, and financial hardships. I felt so pressured that I was willing to strike a deal with them. They pressured me to get a 20,000 TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR LOAN from my sister and then told me that if I made one hundred dollar payments for one year without missing even one, that my loan would go away. I failed to get that in writing and now I owe my sister 20,000 dollars and Allied Interstate TOOK 27,000 dollars from me and remitted the loan back to Salle Mae (who now wants the principle plus 34 grand in interest).in essence our country is so crooked that is legal for a citizen to pay EIGHTY SEVEN THOUSAND DOLARS FOR A 26 THOUSAND DOLLAR LOAN. For 87 grand I could have gotten an education to become a Wall Street crook I have emailed Rep. LoBiando of the second district of New Jersey and have not yet heard back. Oh by the way, The Art Institute of Philadelphia who gave me an education that was out dated by the time I graduated dosen't much care either, they got their money (THEY NEED TO ALSO BE INVESTIGATED, THEY ARE ALSO SCAMMERS)... And I am now a HOUSE PAINTER paying 87 thousand dollars to have the career I already had.
Allied Interstate said my credit rating would go up... Needless to say now that they sent the loan back to Salle Mae my credit rating went down. Our government needs to bailout the people getting ripped of in this country, not the crooks.
