I have a past due account with Home Depot/Citi Bank, which appears to have been turned over to a collection agency. To my knowledge, I have received no notification from Home Dept/Citi Bank that my account had been turned over to a collection agency called Alliance One. I have not received any written notification from Alliance One either. I received some blocked and some caller ID Alliance One calls, but did not call them back because I don't know who they are. I am not a minor, and have no one joint on this credit account.
Matt Laurie from Alliance One called my parents last night, and not only divulged my account status, but my account balance as well. He negotiated a payment plan with my parents, and even received and eft payment from my parents. My rights have been grossly violated. My private financial information was divulged to a third-party who has no legal obligations on this debt.
