Alliance One received our account for collection from Capital One.
The initial correspondence we received from Alliance One stated: "If you are experiencing financial difficulties, call our office and a representative will assist you in negotiating a suitable arrangement. Telephone 1-800-279-3480" so that is what we did. We got a rep.By the name of Jeff at ext. 790, who seemed to be very nice and helpful. We arranged for 3 payments to be drafted from our checking acct. Like this:
May 25 - $216.50, June 25 - $216.50, July 25 - $53.00
On May 24th, my husband called Jeff and told him that the $216.50 would not be available until May 28th. Jeff said he could not stop the payment but we could restructure the payment plan with no additional fees, IF THE FUNDS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. If they did not get their payment, we agreed to pay $216.50 on 6/25 and $269.50 on 7/25 but the $216.50 was resubmitted on 6/1 and cleared, so they got the $216.50 payment as planned. On June 25 they drafted another $216.50 and on July 25 they drafted a payment of $269.50, which means they took a whole extra payment of $216.50. After approx. 10 calls to them, Jeff's supervisor, refused to refund the money. When I asked to hear the tape recording of my husband authorizing an additional $216.50, like they said he did, convenientyly they didn't have it. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get our $216.50 refunded, please fill me in. I'm at my wit's end with this scandalous company.
