I too have been ripped off by being charged late fees for payments recieved on time (verified by Fleet bank), that have gone UN-credited after proving my case (with the help of a "proof of payment" provided by Fleet).
The website has disappeared in recent days, there is noone to talk to "live" on the phone (just a lame recording), and the fax machine rarely works. The only good part is that my certified letters are being signed, but by illegibly.
I agree that the FDIC really screwed consumers by allowing this agency to continue on with Nextcard's business after they went bankrupt. To give these unprofessional people the power to add "late payments" to our credit reports is insane and really upsetting!
