In the middle of June I check my bank account to see the amount of funds available to grocery shoping found out I was over drawn.
I figured it was my mistake didn't contest this 2 weeks went by had my job direct deposit my paychecks in after a month and a half totaling $1198.00 I was still overdrawn I knew then it was a mistake because I never used the account.
Called the bank got transfered to department to department with all of them stating the next one can help you spent not only numerous hours on the phone but my cell phone minutes used up and got nowhere with anyone.
Finally I took time off from work 2 hours with no pay spent the time at the bank with the bank (salem Branch) stating that these charges were not mine and wanted them stopped or put a hold on the whole account so I could pay off the over draft charges then close the account, They said sorry we can't do that until you are at a zero balance, I even asked to have a block put on 3 companies trying to take the money out of my account they said no again because each time the amounts were different they would need exact amounts from me which I could not give because of the different amounts each time.
I even stated to the manager that I am a diabetic I needed to get the money sent to a company in Pennsylvania where I get my meds because the only I can get them is by mail order or my insurance does not cover them, Like I said earlier I gave bank of america nearly 1200.00 in a month and ahalf and could not pay for my meds nor pay for my car which I have lost for lack of payments luckly enough I have a friend that is letting me stay with him so I am not under a bridge someplace at this time.
I have been with bank of america 2 plus years like their service but this time they have given me the cold shoulder and I feel I am getting ripped off by the bank just so they can get money from me for the fun of it. How am I to live if all my money continues to go the bank for NSF fees that are not mine and they continue to let this happen now they are threatening to forclose on the account and send it to collections. This notice came via a phone call yesterday afternoon and all they said again was if this happening to your account you must have dealt with these companies and they want their money back I never heard of them.
The bank president gave me numbers to call but yesterday the lady saiid they do not the phone numbers to give me to call them so whos wrong there. I can let them send it to collections and I will dispute it all the way and they may never get paid but I want my life back to where I can go to the store and not be hassled when my checks or debit card are declined as they have been since late June because of this it is making me sicker by the minute.
