We are tierd of the tug of war for our home! We have lived here for 10yrs. After remortgaging with Countrywide, it has been hell! First, I was'nt aware that they were putting through a mortgage in my name! (or that they could, I had'nt worked at that point in 10 yrs!) So imagine my shock at the signing.
In we were remortgaged with an adjustable arm.in we tried to lower or change our now, 9.11% (and climbing) rate through Countrywide (again), but was denied! We went into forclosure once, but was able to somehow, get a "workout". It was this time period that I discovered when talking to a C.W. Employee, that there was alot of wrong info. On our mortgage! I asked the employee to repeat my employment and s.S.#, as I wrote it down. Suddenly, the phone went dead.
I called back numerous times asking for that same employee (which miraculously, was'nt there! I tried getting more info. But kept getting "disconnected"! So I dug through my paperwork... (like I know what i'm looking for, or even at!)
To my surprise, there was a landscape co. Listed (that apparently I manage?!) and a ss# that is mine, until the last number! I don't know much about mortgage co.'s and the law, but this was crazy wrong! I did finally get them to get it out of my name and into my husbands (he does have a job!), but they fixed us at the same rate and we just got tierd of struggling! We gave them our house. They want it so damn bad, they can have it!
So, at 43 yrs. My husband, myself and our son will have to start all over again! It is embarrasing! I'd love to do to Countrywide what they did to us! They are a hugh reason that the middle class has come up missing!
