Countrywide Home Loans
Rip-off! Fraudulent credit practices!

My husband and I had lost our home due to uncontrolled circumstances. We had two mortgages through Countywide Home Loans, one was a senior mortgage, the other a junior mortgage. We had included them in our Bankruptcy, it was a chapter 7. The first mortgage was removed because it was an FHA loan, the second mortgage was not. The company (Countrywide) never made an attempt to challenge the debt. Therefore, we thought it was cleared off our credit report and we owed nothing. Our bankruptcy was discharged clearing all debt.

We had applied for a mortgage recently and were denied because Countrywide still has it reported that we owe them the money on the second mortgage. Our loan offficer told us that the lender was frauding our credit. She could not get us approved because our report says that we still owe them a large amount and we still have a payment of $117.00 a month. We were told to dispute it with one of the Credit Buereus, which we had recently done. Yet, I am uncertain that it was even cleared off our credit report at this point. We have recieved a new updated report saying our balance is at zero. I do not know if that means it was taken care of or not. Well this is our consumer complaints for fraudulent credit practices through COUNTRYWIDE HOME LOANS.
