You think you are making ends meet. Citi will prove you wrong. You need to make extra money to keep up with their sneaky charges. I had a check come into my account and they paid it only to get all other charges pushed up and charged fees for. I got to pay fees for charges of 1.70 and 4.50. When I contacted them thinking they had done this by mistake they treated me like I was an idiot. They contended I was supposed to keep track of my expenses and that the expenses being disputed had come a different day I had them processed with the merchant.
They offer overdraft protection but once you enter into their list of favorite providers, they diny approval so they can go on charging fees, indefinitely.
Do not bother contacting their management. They have the worst customer service people on earth, entitled, rude, limited in information, and sharky, by principle. Their role is to bite your account. I met a person who worked for Citibank and she told me how they were trained not to ever give in with a customer. They are rewarded for fees, so their role is to gather fees, no matter what.
And when they make mistakes, are they polite and giving, no, no, no... Their mistakes are your fault. They have an attitude and believe everything must go to their advantage. Bottom line, when you are about to enter Citi, think twice and enter WAMU or Wells Fargo. Citibank is by far, the worst of my household. Granted the other banks are not all that wonderful, but at least they do not make me feel like they are pimps, pumping their own customers for the bucks they are too lazy to go out to make with honest work!
Citi, Sharkciti, good luck! And see you in court!
