Wells Fargo Bank
Dirty ripoff dogs Las Vegas Nevada

I had a vehicle financed through Wells Fargo Bank, actually my mother financed it for me through them. I opened a checking account with U.S. Bank here in Nevada back in May and in either July or August I gave a check over the phone for a payment for this vehicle to a Wells Fargo Bank representative (my payment was one month behind) and she was very rude, but I kept my cool.

I gave her a check number and the amount was only authorized for $488 and change. I had my paychecks direct deposit and I knew prior to payday the amount that was going to be deposited. I knew that the check I gave to Wells Fargo Bank would clear. I also sent out checks for my utilities and some groceries.

Its now a week and a half later and I go to get gas for my car and use my check card for $5.00 gas (knowing I only had $15.00 available after all my checks cleared), my card gets declined. I used my credit card and got to work and checked my checking account online and I was overdrawn. Wells Fargo Bank submitted my check for $876.00 and not only took my entire paycheck, but overdrafted me by some $30.00, $37.00 to be exact. I was pissed! I have tried to get this matter resolved with them, to no avail.

Well, by this time just about all the other checks I had written had bounced and I wasn't going to have any money for another five days to cover the overdraft which at this point was up to over $600.00 and U.S. Bank closed my account. Now I am screwed. One representative from Wells Fargo said, "They would pay for all the overdraft fees." But, until today, I have yet, to see that monies. I live from paycheck to paycheck and paying out $660.00 all at once for something I didn't do, is impossible.

My husband just hate banks and I went against his wishes to not openning another checking account. I had another incident back in 1999 with Bank Of America, I was overdrawn and I made a cash deposit thru the ATM (yes, I know, that was stupid) for the amount $868.00 (I was working 2 jobs at that time), I knew that would cover my overdraft and there would be extra monies in my account.

March 15,1999 I made that deposit and March 17,1999 they closed my account. I went in person and fought their claim that no deposit was made. After maybe 2 hours of being at the bank, they still hadn't found my deposit and then about a week later I received a call from the BOA branch where the account was opened and they said, "We found the deposit entry, but haven't been able to locate my monies."

They were going to continue to work on it. I received two calls trying to collect monies from me and I had to explain to these people on what happened. They were going to follow-up and get back to me. That was in 2000. It's now close to 2003 and they have not returned my calls and have not tried to collect from me since, but I am reported to Chek Systems, now thats two banks. Help!!!
