During the month of October my checking account was assessed overdraft fees totaling $420.00. I have a credit card connected to the checking account that serves as an overdraft line. At the end of August the balance of the credit card account was brought to zero (and never late). On September 5, a Finance Charge of approximately $85 was posted that went unnoticed. This small balance went overdue. Apparently, there is a clause in the overdraft line that states that if the credit card goes overdue the overdraft line is suspended (despite the fact that the credit card is not suspended). The suspension of the overdraft line resulted then in various charges being paid overdraft from the checking account instead of being paid by the overdraft line from the credit card. This resulted in $420 of overdraft fees. When customer service was contacted that said that since there was no bank error the fees would not be reversed and acted like they had done me a favor by paying the items overdraft. Worst bank ever. I will be closing all of my accounts with them.
