I was sent a letter and a check from global concepts informing me of a cash grant I won for home improvement. I thought here is my lucky break because Im so far in depth I can now pay off all my credit cards. I WAS WRONG! These people have got to get caught. It really upsets me know there are people out there who dont give a shit who they prey on. I opened a new account to set it up to pay all the bills and deposited the check they sent me. The bank has notified me that the check is fake and my account is closed. I hope they do a full investigation and these people get caught. As for me, I'm hoping since they put a nine day hold on all new accounts and I havent touched anything in this acccount, I wont have to pay for this.
Here is some information on the letter sent to me so that if you get one of these you will not respont to it.
The people it states to contact are MATTHEW DAVIDSON OR AMY PRICE at 1-28-892-3968. Also, when I called I got a live person on the line which then in turn gave me a name to whom to send the taxes and fees to after I cash the check they sent me. Since they were not asking for any money up front from my pocket and I looked up the website for GLOBAL CONCEPTS and it was real, I thought this to be legit. I am definately never going to make the same mistake twice and now that Im aware of this web site I will be watching out for any more of this senseless act by criminals!
