For several months I have received harassing phone calls from Wells Fargo Auto. I do have an auto loan through them and my payments have been made and received according to my statements. However, they continue to call me 10-15 times a day starting at 8:00am-9:00pm.
I finally filed a complaint against them with the BBB around the first of April when they had some how got my supervisor's unlisted cell phone number and called harassing her, as well as my brother-in-law's cell phone. Neither of them have ever been listed on any of my paperwork with Wells Fargo.
Almost as soon as the BBB received my complaint and sent me a letter stating that they sent my complaint the Wells Fargo, the calls became more frequent and more threatening. The one time I did answer the phone, the gentelman informed me that I was seriously behind on my payments. I informed him that I had infront of me a statement dated April 4 that clearly stated at the top that my account was current and no payment was due. He proceeded to call me a liar and said they showed in their records that I have not made a payment since November of last year.
Well, unfortunately I woke this morning to find that they had repossed my car! I called Wells Fargo, leaving a message for them to call me back and explain why they had taken that kind of action when my account showed current. No one ever returned my call.in fact, they have since blocked my access to my account online.
I have also call the State Attorney General's office, explained everything and faxed them a copy of all my information. They are looking into it and will get back with me as soon as possible.
I only hope that I get my car back soon and that more individuals don't have to suffer any more hardship from this company.
