Last August I needed to move fast due to me and my husband being accused of rape and I couldn't stay there with my daughter. So I needed money fast, my credit was bad because when I seperated from him the first time, he let our house get repoed. So I went to Midwest Title and Loan to get the deposit and first months rent on a apartment.
After a couple months of making payments, I got sick and wasn't working regularly and missed a payment. I called and told them I would do my best to catch it up. That kind of money just didn't come around. Still trying to catch up. They started texting my phone everyday, calling my work, after I told them not to. And leaving threatening messages on my voice mail. After that I still made my regular payments, but just couldn't catch that one up.
Everytime I would go in and try to make my monthly payment, the lady at the desk named Sherri would yell and me and talk to me like a child. And she wouldn't except and partial payments for the missed one. I stopped taking my payment down there, I would send my daughter Bonnie to make it, thinking she wouldn't yell at my daughter. The first time Bonnie went down there, she told my daughter that she needed a extra 10.00 for late fees. But the payment wouldn't of been late if they wouldn't of closed early. Bonnie told her that and she started yelling at my daughter.
During this time I had made 2 complaints on this woman to corperate and they said they would talk to her about her tatics. I then about just gave up and was going to let them have the car and I would fight them in court if needed. Then this Sherri told me if I can come down with the regular payment, she would put the missed payment at the end of the loan. I borrowed the money from my daughter, Tiffany and took it down there and she took the money and then told me that she couldn't do anything about the other payment, like she promised and started talking to me like a child telling me my responsibilites and acted as if she never made that deal with me. She even called the corperate office in front of me and straight lied to them.
So I'm still making my monthly payments and then in January, my daughter Bonnie took the payment down and she tried to get extra money out of her again. My daughter called and told me that. That was on a Friday. Then Saturday morning she called me and told me that my payment was due and went through her little threating, we'll come and get your car speech. I told her my daughter made the payment yesterday, she screamed at me and said no she did not. So I asked her is she was sure about that, she said yes. I asked her again and she yelled no she didn't. So then I said to her, wonder if I was to tell you I have the reciept right in front of me. Which I did. She told me just a minute and then she came back on the phone and said well what about the other payment? No apologies, no acknowledgement of the payment being made, nothing but her screaming.
I then asked her if she had been trying to get late charges out of my daughter, she said no. But she wrote it on the reciept. I again called corperate and talked to the same lady from before and she said she would talk to the manager there and see what kind of payment arraingments she could set up. She then called me back and told me that she talked to the manger and I was supposed to bring in whatever I could afford, weekly.
Then last month, my daughter Tiffany took my regular payment in and again Sherri tried too get extra money from her and started lecturing Tiffany about the payment that was missed and then she figure out I would be bring ing in what I could, so she told my daughter, thats ok, I will get the late charges out of the payments she brings in. So any money I bring in to catch up the missed payment will be applied to these late charges she told me that she didn't apply, although she wrote it on my reciept. Lies and more lies. So I haven't taken any payments for the missed payment in, because I am not going to just keeping feeding them money and still get the threatening calls. I just don't answer and delete them off my voice mail as they come.
Whats so funny is when Sherri calls she always says, this is hurting your credit. Well if she would of done what she promised in the first place, it wouldn't be, and if I had good credit, I wouldn't of went to them in the first place. These people are scandalous and ridicoulous. They judge you as beneath from the git go. But when your in a bind you try to overlook it.
