For seven years I have made timely payments on a car loan. My daughter drove this care for the last three years. She sold a car and bought my car. Americredit would not allow me to put her on the loan. So, I continued to pay the loan... On time every month. I finally made the last payment early enough to transfer the title to my daughter just before needing to renew the registration in OR where I live. So, my daughter could have the title and register it in ID.
But no! Americredit holds the title 20 days from the last payment despite the fact I use Western Union as they instructed so it came directly out of my bank account. (plus $7.50 for WU) They want proof of payment for the previous payment as well. So I downloaded and sent them a copy of my bank statement.
That was not good enough because it did not show a running balance to prove that the money actually was drawn on my account.
All of this and when I check to see what my balance is I am told "ZERO"!! I have made 84 monthly payments and never been late. No matter. Americredit would not release the title in three days as they said they would if I did the above things. So, now I have to get it registered in OR for a month for "transport" and pay nearly the same amount to register it for a year in ID.
The first time I complained about this company it was over the fact that they charge you $5.00 to make a timely payment on their website. Geesh!
Americredit is not worthy of your business.
