Re: Citizens Bank Acct# X
Dear Mr. Steinour:
I am writing to you to express that I disagree with your NSF fee schedule.
It appears that you enjoy, I do mean enjoy, collecting $39 for each NSF fee that a consumer might incur. It appears that your bottom line profit is made up of these fees paid by members. What happened to making an honest living? I recently had an error in my checking account due to automated payments to my creditors and you collected $195 for 5 NSF fees.
The irony is that when your bank did not post my $200 deposit, back in July made into an ATM on time, I did not ask for late charges from you. Yes, thats correct, I made a deposit in an ATM of $200 cash, but your bank accused me of not putting any cash into the envelope, when all was said and done, it was your mistake. I did not receive any fees for your error, just an apology.
But make no bones, when I made an error and you charged me $195 for NSF, you collected $39 per instrument. Thats 5 instruments for a total of $195. Your bank is crooked and your process for someone who never had NSF is wrong, simply wrong. I suggest you made good and reverse the fees you charged me.
I spoke with Linda Firth, claiming to be a supervisor, who declined to work with me and reverse these ridiculous charges.
I will be closing my account with your bank and another promise I make is that I will be influencing any person I come in contact with to use any other bank but Citizens Bank.
I await to hear from you in hopes you might change my mind.
