Citizens Bank, which recently bought out Charter One, is continuing Charter One's tradition of taking excessive overdraft fees from checking accounts. If the account is overdrawn, they understandably charge an overdraft fee. However, after a deposit was made, putting the account well into the positve side, they withdrew another $74.00 in overdraft fees, even thought the account was not anywhere near overdrawn. They seem to charge the overdraft fees on checks, etc. That come through after a deposit is made, even if the withdrawals do not make the account overdrawn; everytime we make a deposit to this checking account they habitually withdraw our money. Does usery sound familiar???
