Doubled fees make the fees more than the payment

I am sure this happens with all or most credit card companies but I had a payment due Oct. 9th. I pay online so it posted online Oct. 10. I received a late fee of $39.00 which of course put me right over the limit at 15.00 over; basicly of course, I now have fees of 80.00 plus I do not know how much yet to pay them to get under the limit. I am sure they just think they are so great about getting another person to pay ridiculous fees just for being 1 day late. I believe that is how loan sharks work, this is a total rip-off that's for sure. Unfortunately, I am disabled and I do have their disability insurance also but I just know that they will give me a fight I am unable to fight right now. I am also fighting SSDI at the moment; I just can't take it so I guess I will have to get a lawyer about all the insurance premiums I have paid over the years; way before I became disabled.
