I have a Chase credit card that has a 500.00 credit line on it. About a 9yrs ago i changed jobs and could not pay on time. Chase changed the interest rate because I fell late on the payment then tacked on late fees then due to the high interest and late fees it took the card over the 500.00 limit therefore tacked on more fees. I made payments every month until i realized it was not getting anywhere on this card only that my payment was just not doing anything for the card. I asked Chase to help me with the interest, late fees and over limit fees and they denied my request. I then had to make the decision that due to having paid this card 500.00 over and over again and saw the bal. Abov e 2K i could not continue to pay. I received a letter on a Friday a couple years ago saying that if pd 1k the next day they would settle. Well if I had 1k I would have however i call the num. On the letter and was told that was all they could do. Now i received a letter from an Attorney saying that if i do not pay the dept which is now over 6K due interest etc. I would be taken to court. Chase is insensitive and a total rip off. If I received 6K in goods or service for this card I would not be so distraught in paying however due to the card limit being 500.00 limit Chase Bank is the sorriest credit card company I have ever delt with. Truly SORRY!
